Housing Development House

This is a one-storey house topped with a gabled terracotta-tiled roof. The 50cm roof overhangs accentuate the protective characteristics of the roof. The house is a simple low-level space with an L-shape, around a terrace that is protected from the prevailing winds. A large folding-arm awning allows the rectangular space to be covered, and to protect the terrace and the house from the heat of summer. The walls around the terrace are completely glazed in order to take advantage of the sun during the winter. The entrance wall is broken only by a vertical strip that accommodates the front door while maintaining the privacy of the house and its occupants.
